Atkins Diet
It 's the diet invented by cardiologist Robert Coleman Atkins in the 70s and is the most popular high-protein diet.
It is divided into two stages: first you can eat unlimited protein and fat but you have to give up all carbohydrates and almost all vegetables, to eat their fat reserves. In the second phase, instead, we reintroduce little at a time carbohydrates and vegetables.



Dissociated diet
The dissociated diet was invented by Dott.William Howard Hay in 1911. It is based on five basic rules:
1 - Do not eat carbohydrates with proteins and acid fruits at the same meal
2 - Eating fruits and vegetables as part of the diet
3 - Eating protein, carbohydrates and fats in limited quantities
4 - Eating whole grains and avoid refined and processed foods, such as foods made with white flour, sugar and margarine
5 - Allow an interval of at least 4 hours / 4 hours between meals of different types



Zone Diet
The Zone Diet is primarily a way of life. Was introduced in Italy thanks to Eddy Ottoz that during her wandering the world in search of novelty in the field of diet, he came across a method that had proved successful athletes of the U.S. national track and field and swimming. For each person, the daily requirement of food is calculated according to its specific needs and overcome harmful (in terms of calories) than you actually need. This method provides a caloric restriction and a drastic reduction in the consumption of carbohydrates. Not only should be reduced carbohydrates (mostly in the form of bread and pasta), but we must ensure, at each meal or snack, a correct balance between the three basic components of food: protein, carbohydrates and fats. The Zone Diet is based on reducing the glycemic index.



The Dukan diet
Currently very much in vogue, the Dunkan diet, named after its inventor, offers a program in four phases that include foods rich in protein and low in calories, which have the advantage of decreasing appetite.

- Phase shock protein-based as well: you only eat protein and that white and red meat, fish, seafood, dairy products made from skim milk.
