Antiaging: not the treatment of disease, but the support of a state of well-being

Antiaging
: we can attribute a number of very different meanings and connotations.

For the scientific community, research anti-aging refers to the attempt to slow, prevent, reverse the aging process. To date, no proven technology allows you to reach this objective, scientific evidence in humans, nor is there any scientific method currently available to accurately measure the effects of an alleged anti-aging therapy.Research and development on aging and longevity have great potential, but must fight underfunded and the fact that the general public is still struggling to understand the possibilities offered by this research.

In medicine, however, anti-aging means early detection and prevention of age-related diseases. Diseases that affect the quality and duration of life of individuals and are often the cause of early death. There are, in this case, different strategies and therapies: caloric restriction, for example, is a proven way to reduce the risk of a large number of age-related degenerative conditions.

We try to understand what is meant by extension of healthy life and longevity.

Aging is caused by genetic factors for third and two thirds by environmental factors and lifestyle (stress, smoking, diet, physical activity, radiation, etc..), For which each of us is responsible for 70% of its aging.

Today it is not yet possible to cure genetic causes, but you can remove all the others. Slowing down the aging means keeping young body and mind and reduce the risk of disease. Ageing slowly and well can enjoy the maximum efficiency into old age and enjoy life to the hilt.

Too few people know that the degenerative aging can be slowed down by careful choice. There are still too few in fact those who have embraced the culture antiaging, antiaging adopted a style of life and seek to counteract their physiological aging process.
