Products based on hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid
is a major component of connective tissues of man. The presence of hyaluronic acid gives skin resistance properties and shape retention, while its absence causes a weakening of the skin and promotes the formation of wrinkles and blemishes.

With the passage of time and advancing age the amount of hyaluronic acid present in the skin tissues tends to decrease gradually.

Inside the connective tissue hyaluronic acid maintains the degree of hydration, firmness, plasticity and viscosity, because you have space in a conformation aggregate pocketing so a considerable number of water molecules. It also acts as a cementing substance and shock-absorbing molecule as well as an efficient lubricant preventing damage to the tissue cells from physical stress.

USES ACID HYALURONIC

HYALURONIC ACID AND WRINKLES

Hyaluronic acid has been used successfully in the cosmetic field for several years now. Hyaluronic acid injections are used in surgery and aesthetic medicine to remove wrinkles and prevent aging of the skin.

With advancing age the amount of hyaluronic acid is progressively reduced, causing imperfections such as wrinkles (glabellar, frontal, perioral, etc..) And especially the loss of volume (emptying and skin depressions) in particular on cheekbones, cheeks and lips. The treatment based on collagen and hyaluronic acid is the basis of so-called fillers, which are used to fill and smooth facial wrinkles. The filler is injected by a doctor with a thin needle just below the wrinkles to be treated. The filling effect depends on the type of skin and the quality and quantity of hyaluronic acid used. The result is not permanent, due to the progressive resorption of the substance which requires the periodic repetition of the intervention (every 2-12 months depending on the case).

HYALURONIC ACID AND OSTEOARTHRITIS

Hyaluronic acid is a fundamental component of the synovial fluid, liquid present within the joints in order to protect cartilage from wear and from excessive loads. Synovial fluid, as well as to depreciate the movements, ensures nutrients to cartilage, accelerating the healing process. The aging articular, as well as the skin, is associated with a decrease in the production of synovial fluid. An excessive reduction of that substance, linked to traumatic events or advancing age, in fact increases the friction between the articular surfaces.

Hyaluronic acid is particularly effective in the treatment and prevention of osteoarthritis, a degenerative disease that involves the cartilage. Intra-articular infiltration of such a substance may in fact reduce pain while accelerating the repair processes. The hyaluronic acid-based therapy has proved especially effective in lesions of medium and small claims. Also in this field, as in the aesthetic, its action is not final and this makes it necessary to repeat the treatment every 6-12 months.

HYALURONIC ACID AND EYE

Hyaluronic acid also finds application in ophthalmic surgery and ocular: for the production of artificial tears and interventions on the vitreous body of the eye.

HYALURONIC ACID AND EAR

In otologic surgery hyaluronic acid is used as the regenerating of perforated tympanic membranes.

HYALURONIC ACID AND HAIR

Recently, some studies have shown that hyaluronic acid is also involved in the processes of proliferation and growth of hair and hair, opening new horizons in the use of this important cosmetic substance.
