This sweetener is described as "healthy". Foods sweetened with agave nectar are touted as foods with a low glycemic index and therefore a better choice for your health. The degrees of glycemic index is based on how quickly it raises the level of sugar in the blood: index overly simplistic to determine if a food is "good" or "bad." The agave nectar and other foods high in fructose does not cause insulin spikes, but have a stressful impact on the liver, contributing to fatty liver disease and insulin resistance. 

4. Foods low in fat

Since 1950, the fat has been limited in food, holding him responsible to clog your arteries and make us fat. In reality, we need healthy fats for our health. The brain, the immune system, hormones and cells depend on these valuable macronutrients. In addition to being deficient in healthy fats, when a food is labeled "low fat", it often means that they replaced the fat with processed sugar or chemicals. 

5. Foods without sugar

This term used in food labeling confuses many people who are trying to lose weight. They consume sugar-free drinks and light foods, thinking of making a healthy choice. Very often, however instead of sugar are contained artificial sweeteners, they also unhealthy. If you want to make a healthy choice, better to prefer, for example, a soft drink or sweetened with sugar, water and a bit 'of lemon or lime.

7. Gluten free products

The popularity of "gluten-free" has brought with it a lot of junk foods. They can contain nutrients lacking, rancid oils gluten-free, gluten-free processed sugar ... Just because something is labeled "gluten-free" does not mean it's healthy! 

8. Foods labeled "all natural"

Define a food "natural" is probably the most commonly made ​​by food marketing. The term "natural" when it is used on the label of a canned food, does not mean practically nothing.
