Supplements to strengthen the immune system

Autumn arrives and, with the change of season, there are many who accuse difficulties and disorders.

Climatic variations in temperature, humidity and pressure can affect certain chemicals (neurotransmitters) involved in our sphere mood: the result is discomfort such as headache, fatigue, weakness, lack of energy and vitality, insomnia ...

The seasonal change, moreover, influence not only the physiology, but also the psychology of people. The end of the hot season (characterized by light, heat, holidays) is negatively perceived by the human psyche, sometimes leading to discontent, listlessness, depression ...

Do not forget that, with the arrival of the cold, the body is more exposed to the risk of colds.

The best way to deal with the seasonal change and, in particular, the arrival of autumn is fortifying their body.

A strong and healthy body does not feel the discomfort associated with the change of season, or hear them in a less clear-cut.

As always, a good way of life, made up of a balanced diet, practice of sports constant and regular, proper integration and stress management is the best solution, even to deal with the change of seasons.

In particular, it is important to strengthen the immune system, responsible for our health.

The immune system is a complex integrated network of chemical mediators and cellular aims to defend the body from any form of chemical attack, traumatic or infectious, which undermine its integrity.

A key feature of the immune system is therefore the ability to distinguish between endogenous and exogenous structures that are not dangerous and therefore they can or must be preserved (self) structures and endogenous or exogenous instead prove to be harmful to the body and which must then be eliminated (non-self). Depending on the mode of antigen recognition, there are two areas of the immune system:

  • non-specific or innate immunity: includes chemical mediators (responsible for inflammation) cellular and a first line of defense against aggression. It is evolutionarily oldest and allows the recognition of a limited repertoire of antigens. Recognizes a general condition of danger and puts the immune system into a state of "alarm", which favors the development of specific immunity

  • specific immunity or adaptive: includes cellular and chemical mediators responsible for a defensive response more powerful and targeted (virtually able to recognize any form of antigen), but slower. It is evolutionarily more recent and is based on nonspecific response for many functions of presentation and destruction of antigens.
