Supplements for those who practice sports

There are obvious scientific evidence suggesting a wide range of health benefits by practicing regular physical activity.

But what is the scope and the optimal frequency of physical activity?

Miranda Armstrong, University of Oxford (UK), and colleagues have completed a large-scale study involving 1.1 million women living in the UK, mean age 56 years, free of cancer, heart disease, diabetes beginning of the study.

Women who have physical activity two or three times a week had about 20% less likely to develop heart disease, stroke ... compared to participants who had practiced little or no activity. Interestingly, among active women, there was little evidence of further reduction of the risk with physical activity most frequent (more than 2-3 times a week). The study authors say: "The moderate physical activity is associated with a lower risk of coronary heart disease, venous thromboembolic event, cerebrovascular disease."
