Supplements for mental well-being

In general, there are two main types of psychological distress: hassles of everyday life, such as commuting, the stress of work or discussions with family and friends; and significant life events such as job loss or the death of a spouse.

Carolyn M. Aldwin, Oregon State University (Oregon, USA), and colleagues analyzed data on 1,293 men enrolled in the Veterans Affairs Normative Aging Study.
The team studied stressful life events and problems of everyday life that affected individuals and followed them for five years. About 43% of men have died by the end of the study period. The men who had reported some problems every day had the lowest death rate, at 28.7%.
The study authors note that: "People who have suffered events / incidents during the highly stressful lives were 63% more likely to die than those with low-impact problems stressful ... while those with a lot of problems stress and constant over time were more than 3 times more likely to die. "
